What is One Human Experience?
The One Human Experience is an immersive, half-day journey designed to cultivate self-awareness, compassion, and authentic connection. Through yoga, breathwork, experiential practices, and group explorations, participants are guided to deepen their understanding of themselves and others. Rooted in the timeless principles of yoga and adapted for modern living, this experience provides practical tools for building meaningful relationships, fostering inner harmony, and dissolving barriers that hinder connection. It’s a space to expand, reflect, and reconnect—with yourself, with others, and with the shared human experience. What You’ll Experience:

Guiding Principles
(Why we do what we do)
The One Human Experience is rooted in timeless yogic wisdom and designed to inspire self-awareness, connection, and transformation. These guiding principles form the foundation of every event, helping participants align their inner and outer worlds, deepen their relationships, and live with greater authenticity and compassion.
A Foundation in Yogic Philosophy
At the heart of the One Human Experience are the Yamas and Niyamas, the ethical and personal principles of yoga. These foundational teachings provide a roadmap for living with integrity, harmony, and self-awareness. While all of the Yamas and Niyamas influence the experience, we focus particularly on three that reflect the core values of One Human:

Ahimsa (Non-Harming)
Practicing compassion in thoughts, words, and actions creates a safe and supportive environment for transformation. Ahimsa is central to dissolving judgment and fostering authentic connection with oneself and others.
Satya (Truthfulness)
Living authentically and with integrity enables participants to align with their true selves. By embracing truth, participants deepen their self-awareness and create more meaningful relationships.
Svadhyaya (Self-Study)
Reflecting on one’s thoughts, beliefs, and patterns inspires greater self-compassion and fosters personal transformation. Svadhyaya supports participants in uncovering unconscious barriers and embodying their fullest selves.
These principles guide participants throughout the One Human Experience, offering tools to navigate inner challenges and create more harmonious relationships. While these three principles are emphasized, the remaining Yamas and Niyamas are naturally interwoven into the framework, providing a holistic foundation for personal and collective growth.

Ahimsa: Non-violence
Satya: Truthfulness
Asteya: Non-stealing
Brahmacharya: Moderation or self-restraint
Aparigraha: Non-possessiveness or non-greed

Personal practices for self-purification and inner discipline:
Shaucha: Cleanliness
Santosha: Contentment
Tapas: Self-discipline or effort
Svadhyaya: Self-study or study of scriptures
Ishvarapranidhana: Surrender to a higher power

Physical poses designed to strengthen and prepare the body for meditation and spiritual growth.

Techniques for controlling the breath to enhance life force energy (prana) and calm the mind.

Turning inward by detaching from sensory distractions to focus on the inner self.

Developing single-pointed focus, often by concentrating on a mantra, image, or breath.

A state of uninterrupted focus, leading to deep contemplation and inner peace.

The ultimate state of unity with the divine or universal consciousness, achieving liberation or enlightenment.
